KVH Industries had a huge booth displaying its ever-growing product line of communications and internet solutions for mobile application, including, obviously, boating. Most big boats have some form of satellite communication installed. With the newer, smaller units, those of us with smaller boats can consider having satellite TV from DirecTV or DISH Network on the boat for use at anchor or even while underway.

Prices have come down from the tens of thousands to less than $5,000 for the complete installation of a sat-TV system capable of tracking while underway. It's not exactly cheap, but it puts these units in reach for many, many more people.
