Kenyon's Silken Stove

.: GLEN JUSTICEGLEN JUSTICE

The Silken stove top from Kenyon International, makers of Kenyon grills, is unique.

The Silken combines induction cooking with high-temp silicon pads, which catch spills, do not get too hot to touch and actually grip the pots and pans on the stove (as you can see in the photo above). The result may be fewer spills — and an easier cleanup when they do happen.

With a price point of just less than $1,000, Kenyon's Silken has already been installed on some Hunter sailboats and should be widely available earlier next year. The pads come in different configurations and a variety of colors.

We haven't tested Kenyon's Silken in a seaway yet, but the stove definitely has some new ideas.
