I sometimes get so tied up in building the boat that I forget why we want to go boating otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I get great enjoyment from getting out and putting something together. I get even greater joy when it works right the first time.
Despite all that, the end state (for me, anyhow) is to be able to get out and use the thing. Now I'm not sure if I have the "boat building bug" yet or not, althought I think I do. At first I figured that there would be no way I would ever do this again, but now I figure it may be a hard habit to break. Kind of dumb to be thinking of the next one while you're still working on this one, but so be it.
Anyway, we went to the lake with some friends this weekend. Something we usually only get to do a couple of times a year. As you can see, Dane had a blast. We boated, skied, swam, ate, all manner of fun things. It was a nice time, on a quiet lake with good weather.
So, in between all the work on your boat, the trip planning, the additions and new toys you are adding, just get out there and have some fun (carefully)!
