Trailer work

Most recently the "boat" work has really revolved around the new trailer.

My Dad has been so great about working on it, I hardly recognized it when I got down to his place this weekend.

He's removed all the upper "structure", gotten it cleaned up nicely, straightened the two forward cross members that had been bent in various encounters with the ground, and generally been working away.

We were able to continue this path, cutting the longitudinal tubes to length and preparing them to add to the existing lower side channels as bracing/strengtheners. This will really stiffen things up and make it ready for the boat.

You can see in the picture that the nearer side has the "upper rail" sitting in place, where it will be welded.

After we get done with this, there is some brake and light work to do, as well as replacing the bunks and we'll have a trailer.
