For you early adaptor techies out there who are testing Google's new Chrome web browser, our preliminary look shows that the Mad Mariner website works pretty well when viewed in this new tool.
As most readers know, different browsers can render the same website in very different ways. What looks good in Firefox may look bizarre in Internet Explorer, and vice versa. If you are seeing something that looks strange on an established website, this is very often the reason.
Mad Mariner was designed in Mozilla's Firefox browser, and was styled to work well in Microsoft's Internet Explorer. It should look fine in both; if it doesn't, then something is wrong and you should let us know. Mac users running the Safari browser sometimes see garbled images, and so we recommend that Mac users view the site using Firefox for MacIntosh.
Chrome is a new browser getting a lot of attention, and the editors here thought that some of you may be eager to use it. So our production staff ran all over the site, testing functions and making screenshots (see below) to see if all was well. So far, so good.
However, there is simply no way to test everything. If you are using Chrome and you see something odd, please let us know using the Contact form. We'll get on it right away.
