Mad Mariner announced this week that it has signed a deal to manage advertising sales and placement on Panbo, the largest marine electronics blog on the internet.

The signing of this deal unites two-highly respected websites, each with an active readership, and creates a combined marketplace that averages roughly 150,000 unique visitors each month.

Panbo is owned and edited by Ben Ellison, a veteran marine electronics expert and long-time electronics editor for a variety of prominent marine magazines.

"MadMariner has developed an especially human-friendly and comprehensive online advertising program," wrote Ellison in his Panbo post announcing the deal. "The MM sales team are not only actual humans themselves, but also boaters."

"We are very excited to expand our advertising program in partnership with Panbo," said Glen Justice, founder and editor of Mad Mariner, in a release this week. "Ben has created a world-class website, and his reputation as a top marine technology writer is widely recognized by the industry, consumers and fellow journalists alike."

Mad Mariner and Panbo will continue to operate independently outside the advertising arena, maintaining the same look, feel and editorial direction that readers on both sites know well.

The two companies are working to complete the technical side of the deal, and Mad Mariner's ad services will be available on Panbo later this month. Information on advertising packages and pricing will be made available at that time.
