It's that time again – time to start a new Docking Game High Score Contest.
This week's prize is a Sportsman Series PowerKnob from the sponsor of our contest, Edson Marine. For the uninitiated, the PowerKnob is a useful piece of gear that attaches to your steering wheel and can make maneuvering your boat much easier. The Sportsman model is black. Very cool.
To compete, all you have to do is play the game, properly post high scores and follow the contest rules, which are listed below. Please read the rules carefully, because several rules have changed and you must comply to win.
One major rule: you must post scores using your Mad Mariner username.
The contest will begin Friday, June 13 at midnight EST (that's today). It will end Thursday, June 19 at 4 p.m. EST.
The winner will be the player who posts the highest single eligible score, as logged on the "Weekly" portion of the "High Scores" tab within the game (see photo below), during the contest. Read below for details.
THE CONTEST RULES
There are a few rules and they must be followed in order to win:
- All that is required to enter the contest is to play The Docking Game and properly post high scores.
- No purchase or subscription is necessary, though the game does require players to register for a free 30-day trial with Mad Mariner after Level 4. Registration requires only that you submit your name and email address and that you create a username. No credit card information is required and we respect your privacy.
- You must use your Mad Mariner username when you post a high score. This is the same username you use to log into the site. It must be exactly the same. Without it, we have no way to verify the winner and no way to contact you if you win. Scores that are posted without a Mad Mariner username, or with the wrong username, will not be considered.
- The contest begins Friday, June 13 at midnight EST (that's today), and all scores posted prior to that are not eligible.
- The contest will end at Thursday June 19 at 4 p.m. EST. The winner will be the player who posts the highest single eligible score, as logged on the "Weekly" portion of the "High Scores" tab within the game (see photo below), during the contest.
- Players can play the game as often as they like in order to compete.
- Only one winner will be selected. The winner of the contest will be selected by Mad Mariner and notified via email. The winner will also be announced publically on MadMariner.com.
- If no players on the "Weekly" high scores tab are eligible to win the contest, the winner will be the eligible player with the highest score as recorded on the "Monthly," "All Time" or "Daily" tabs, in that order.
- Mad Mariner is not obligated to select a winner. If no eligible winners can be identified under contest rules, then there will be no contest winner.
- Mad Mariner employees are not eligible to enter the contest.
- No player can win the contest twice within a 30-day period.
- The winner must claim their prize by responding to Mad Mariner via email within one week after notification that they won the contest. The prize will then be sent via mail. If the winner fails to respond to Mad Mariner within one week, they will forfeit their prize.
- In the event that the winner does not come forward to claim their prize, Mad Mariner may declare a new winner or declare the contest null and proclaim no winner.
- Only one prize will be awarded, as described by Mad Marner in this document.
- By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the sponsor, Mad Mariner LLC, and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and its officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents will have no liability whatsoever for, and will be held harmless by winner for any liability for any injury, loss or damages of any kind to persons, including death, and property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in this contest.
- Players are prohibited from making technical modifications to Mad Mariner websites, The Docking Game, the Game's high score system or any other hardware or software owned or operated by Mad Mariner that facilitates this contest. Any evidence that a player engaged in such activity will result in disqualification from thecontest and a ban from Mad Mariner websites.
- Mad Mariner is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, or the failure of any e-mail to be sent or received by Mad Mariner on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site.
