Calling all pod-drive owners and drivers. Have you a pod-drive equipped boat? Or have you driven one? We recently wrote about the pod wars, with all the IPS and Zeus-equipped boats either already splashed or coming down the ways.
I would love to hear from folks who have some experience with these. It really does look like its the future of a huge chunk of recreational boating. For example, I was reading a boat test of a new Sea Ray 47 Sedan Bridge in -- gasp! -- an old-fashioned print boating mag, and it was SO obvious that the boat's interior layout was designed for the new Zeus drives, and yet the boat was being offered with ONLY Cummins v-drive diesels -- frankly, an awkward package and almost as obviously, a placeholder for next year when it will (I bet) be offered with Cummins MerCruiser Diesel Zeus drives.
