Diesel oil Additives

My bluewater has two  450 cummins turbo engines.   I recently read that the worst thing for these marine engines is when you store them for the winter or long periods that they are not used.  Apparently rust will form from condensation inside the engine which is detrimental to its longevity.  Since I am in the great lakes area, it does spend  over 5 months in storage.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue.  Ie... additional filters?  Additives that would prevent this from happening?  I have 1300 hours on my engines, they are working very well and I want to make sure I have no problems.  Has anyone found anything to deal with this issue?  Any help would be appreciated.
