Is that YOUR helm??

To be completely honest, yes, it is a real picture of our helm.  And I actually used it like that one time.  I was testing some new software and wanted to see the real time updates of all of the screens at the same time.  It helped to show some timing differences and caught a few bugs.  When I stepped back and realized how silly it all looked, I snapped the picture.  I didn't know that it would be the opening picture of our series until I saw it myself on Monday!

One thing to notice is that the paper chart book is opened right next to all of those displays on the left.

Today, we rarely run for real with more than a couple of connected phones.  Even that sounds silly!
