Marine University Offers Comprehensive Guide To Safe Boating

If you're looking for a comprehensive book about boating safety and environmental awareness, Boater 101: A Full Reference Guide to Boating Basics, might well be the book for you. First published in September 2007 by Marine University, it is part of that organization's Boater 101 course. It is also a great stand-alone reference that is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard as acceptable to the Recreational Boating Safety Program.

Gain comfort on the water as you learn about boating safety and terminology, boat designs and classifications, motors, required and recommended safety equipment, trailering, pre-departure preparation, U.S. aids to navigation, safety issues, weather, tides, float plans, rules of the road, anchoring, disposal of toxic substances, aquatic nuisance species and so much more.

Marine University, a non-profit organization founded in 1993, has as its mission the promotion of boating, water safety and environmental awareness. To this end it develops educational programs that will help grow the marine industry.

Boater 101: A Full Reference Guide to Boating Basics is available through Amazon.com or your local bookstore
