You should always be aware of everything around you, whether you are on the water, maintaining your boat or trailering your boat. Everything means "everything": sights, sounds, smells and the feel of things (motion on the water, tightness or looseness of bolts and the feel of the vehicle while driving). Being aware of small changes can make your boating safer, less costly and more enjoyable. You may be first to notice that bald eagle flying overhead, too.
