Help Families Of Fallen Coast Guard Crew Members

The Coast Guard Foundation has established a relief fund for the families of the four crewmembers killed when a Coast Guard helicopter went down in Hawaii Aug. 28.

Officials are still searching for the body of one of the missing crewmembers. The bodies of the other three were recovering. All four were married with children.

The chopper went down during rescue drills off Oahu.

To make a secure donation to the Family Disaster Relief Fund, go to the Foundation's Web site.

You may also make a donation to the Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund, which provides college scholarships to the children of Coast Guard members who perish in the line of duty.

Contributions may also be sent to the Coast Guard Foundation Office at 394 Taugwonk Road, Stonington, CT 06378. Please make reference on the memo line or include a note indicating the fund to which your gift will be directed.

The Coast Guard Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the education, welfare and morale of Coast Guard members and their families. The Foundation is governed by a Board of 100 Trustees from all parts of the country.
