Built for extended offshore cruising, the Hunter 49 is designed to maintain the ability to single-hand. The boat sports twin helm stations, with all lines led aft. The traveler is set on an arch above the cockpit, and the two-ended mainsheet can be adjusted from cockpit or companionway. The sail plan can be outfitted with a single, self-tacking jib or a self-tacking staysail with an overlapping headsail. At 49 feet, 11 inches, and weighing almost 32,000 pounds, she is the queen of the Hunter fleet.
